Flithy conditions, Logistic issues, Unhygienic Food, Air Pollution , Civic sense and safety issues, Everything is unorganised.

Just open a random street view of any Indian City on Google Maps and you will know the reason.
@msel04
We tour to get pleasant experiences whereas our cities give unpleasant experiences

One thing people, our behaviour, cleanliness and how we keep our surrounding clean...

India is in the hands of the people. When foreigners come, they are harassed, attacked, foreign women are attacked
How much proof do you need?

Its not just foreigners....Even we educated Indians are not going to any tourist place.... Because of scams, hygiene, prising, civic eense

Because we kept saying 'India is not for beginners' without realising tourists are the beginners :)

Most of the Indian people start taking photos with foreigners or stare them publicly. Even shopkeepers and taxi and auto rickshaw scam them too. So how they will feel comfortable and trust us

Forget foreigners, Im from this country, finding hard to go out on tourism. Because of over loaded people everywhere, filthy roads, pollution, noise, scammers etc. Once our client from US visited India, and I told that India has world heritage ancient architectures and a lot of potential for tourism. And he simply said look at the filthy roads, which foreign tourist do you attract here. I just shut my mouth.. India is just sustaining with the domestic tourism because of a huge population.

India is actually one enormous, collective open-air toilet, where you can relieve yourself while eating or drinking.
As a tourist, you only need to experience it once at most.
@udayk19
The main reason are
No Hygiene in hotels and restaurants cooking using bare hands and untidy kitchen etc
No clean toilets and not maintaining properly
酒店和餐厅缺乏卫生标准,厨师徒手烹饪,厨房也不整洁等等;
@Izz-u4b
My experience in India....They have so much concern for protecting their gods, so little concern for protecting the dignity of fellow human beings. When people lack sanitation and clean toilet facilities, religious devotion means little........

I went to India about four years ago and, after a 12-hour flight, ended up stuck at passport control for another 4 hours. The whole thing was chaos, with loads of people using the foreign passport queue. When we questioned it, they were really rude to us, and the authorities basically did nothing.
It was such a frustrating experience that I told myself I wouldn't go back — and four years later, I still haven't, and I've got no plans to

Our tourism is covered by mostly domestic tourist just by giving neet aspirants an exam centre so far away they'll be considered exam tourist

I was recently in NYC. I saw an ad for Maharashtra tourism at Times Square, which was unfortunately AI-generated. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT. India's tourism ministry is incompetent. Terrible marketing, visa process, and guides.

Open street view of a random remote village,
plastic wrappers strewn almost everywhere along roads.
Indians dont even notice it as garbage.
@AKI1021M
There's a big gap between what's promised during marketing and what actually is delivered. If you ask any foreign tourist he will not come back again. A poor product cannot become successful by marketing alone. You go to Dubai, can understand why they are getting quality tourists capable of spending high amounts of money. It's not only numbers, it's about attracting tourists capable of spending.

I am Indian from uk. I visited India 30 years ago with my mother, having pre-paid itinerary from UK travel agent. Overall, positive experience; but the guides all wanted extras as tips, despite the fact I had pre paid for everything before hand. They would get angry at the tips I gave in any case. Overall worth a visit; but haven't been back and really don't intend to , as I no longer fly as my contribution to global warming.

Without improvements to India's reputation for disorder, cleanliness, and women's safety, what would attract visitors to the country?

If I have to travel to India, I don't care about your lovely remarks. I was more worried about how I was treated there.
