Escaped to Beijing to get some sun.
This time I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, and it genuinely ranks among the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
Instead of building a new hotel, they restored an old hutong and turned traditional courtyard houses into hotel villas.
The funniest part? You cycle through the alleys to get to your room, passing local uncles with their famous Beijing bellies, playing mahjong, drinking tea… like friendly NPCs in the middle of an incredibly beautiful movie set 😂
It never feels staged. It’s just real Beijing, with world-class hospitality quietly woven into it.
What an experience. 🥰
为了晒晒太阳，逃到了北京。
这次住在 北京前门文华东方酒店，绝对可以排进我住过最喜欢的酒店之一。
它没有新建酒店，而是把一片老胡同修复改造，把四合院变成了一间间客房。
最有意思的是，每次骑车回房间，都要穿过胡同。一路上都是喝茶、打麻将、挺着“北京肚”的老北京大爷，感觉像游戏里的 NPC，一切又真实得不可思议 😂
一点都不刻意，却把老北京和顶级酒店融合得特别自然。
很难忘的一次体验。🥰
